2016 New Hotel listings

With summer approaching and families preparing to travel, here at NEWWorthy we figured it was time to update our list of New Hotel and Grand Opening websites.  Please note that this list is considered incomplete, as there are many other hoteliers and hotel listing sites not shown here.

Note that some motels and hotels may also list renovated properties as new.  One possibly method for detecting a renovated versus a new property is to search out reviews on the property and see how far back in time they go.

New hotels 2015

It’s been a while since I last listed new hotel property websites, so here goes.  These are just some of the places you can find new hotels listings.

Best Western

Choice

Hampton Inn (Hilton)

Hilton

Hyatt

Loews

Marriott

Starwood

Wyndham

Conde Naste Traveler recently listed their choices for the Best New Hotels in the World (2015).  Below is a YouTube video from Buzz60 on the subject.

A robot bellhop, but when will he carry your bags?

The world’s first robot bellhop is a nice idea.  But so often I’d just like the luggage cart from downstairs to get in the elevator and come to the door of my hotel room as we’re getting ready to leave.  Or maybe the robot bellhop can retrieve it for me?  Either way, that’s what I’d like to have.

“Game of Thrones” style

USA Today suggests some fantastic castles you can stay at that might remind you of “Game of Thrones” styling.  Many of these castles are very old, but connecting with remarkable architecture can often feel NEWWorthy.  It isn’t clear from watching “Game of Thrones” what time frame it takes place in, but similarities to 13th and 14th century Earth have been noted.

More new hotels, including Japanese capsule (cabin) hotels

Trident hotels is opening a new hotel in Hyderabad, India.

Best Western has several hotels (not sure if all are new, though) joining its ranks, including a couple in India.

Holiday Inn (IHG – Intercontinental Hotels Group) has some new and some “coming soon” hotels listed, including a Fort Walton Beach, FL hotel in 2014.

Would you like to see some new or “coming soon” Hampton Inns?

Looking for a new Marriott Fairfield Inn for your stay?  Use this map search and look for the ones with a little red dot.

The video below describes a new kind of Japanese capsule hotel room (an airplane cabin-like room) that is a bit taller, perhaps a bit safer, and costs a bit more.
